Washington, DC. March 20th, 2024

Duke University organizes “What is Sustainable Infrastructure? Building Consensus to Accelerate Financing”, a panel discussion to identify the challenges and opportunities to advance the global adoption of sustainability standards, indices, and policies to foster financing and construction of sustainable infrastructure. As part of the conversation, approaches such as Blue Dot Network, Envision, and Infrastructure for Good, among others, were discussed.

Cristina Contreras, Founder and Managing Director of Sinfranova, was one of the panelists participating in this conversation. Other panelists included Russell Singer, from the U.S. Department of State; Anthony Kane, from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure; William Phillips, from Mott MacDonald, and Pratima Singh, from Economist Impact.

This event is part of “Sustainable Infrastructure: A Duke Climate Collaboration Symposium”, a three-day event taking place March 20-22 in Washington, DC, and Durham (North Carolina). The symposium is organized by Duke University in collaboration with the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
