The Envision framework supports infrastructure stakeholders in developing more sustainable projects. The range of stakeholders that can benefit from implementing Envision is wide, including owners and design teams, community, environmental groups, constructors, regulators, policymakers, and investors.

Intending to equip its professionals with the knowledge necessary for delivering sustainable projects, IDB Invest provided its staff members with the opportunity to attend an official Envision training as part of its training program. A total of 10 staff members participated in the training, representing different units within the institution, such as the Environmental and Social Officer, Climate Advisory Officer, Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, ESG Officer, Advisory Services Officer, and the Head of Sustainable Infrastructure. The 8-hour training was conducted over five consecutive Fridays —from February 16th to March 8th. After completing the training, participants qualify to take the Envision exam to become Envision Sustainability Professionals (ENV SP). 

The course was instructed by Cristina Contreras, Founder and Managing Director of Sinfranova. She has been an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and a certified Envision trainer since 2013.
