Introduction course to ENVISION for the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Ingenieros Civiles (FEMCIC)

Following the first Envision Certification Workshop in Spanish hosted by the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Ingenieros Civiles (FEMCIC) and the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), FEMCIC organizes the training “Introduction Course to the ENVISION Rating System” in Guanajuato (Mexico). 


Guanajuato (Mexico) hosts this 8-hour in-person training that introduces participants to sustainable infrastructure concepts as well as to the Envision framework and its application. After attending this full-day course taught in Spanish, participants from the civil engineering field are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to implement the Envision framework to develop more sustainable infrastructure projects. Additionally, after completing the course, participants are qualified to take the official exam to become an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). 



The course is instructed in Spanish by Cristina Contreras, Founder and Managing Director of Sinfranova. She has been an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and a certified Envision trainer since 2013.

  • Demonstrate how infrastructure can address the challenges that are inherent to sustainable development;

  • Describe the different elements of Envision;

  • Evaluate infrastructure projects' sustainability performance using the Envision framework;

  • Describe the Envision verification process;

  • Use Envision to plan, design, and deliver sustainable infrastructure.

  • Be qualified to take the ENV SP exam.
