Aligning Panamanian Infrastructure Projects With Climate Change Goals
Development of a Methodology to Incorporate Panama’s National Determined Contributions (NDCs) into Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Projects
This project developed a methodology to link Panama's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) to the financing of low-carbon and climate-resilient infrastructure projects (LCR) structured as Public-Private Partnerships. The main stakeholders included the government of Panama, represented by its National Secretariat of Public Private Associations (SNAPP).
This technical assistance had three main goals:
(i) conduct a literature review and gap analysis to inform the development of climate-resilient PPP infrastructure investment criteria,
(ii) develop climate-resilient PPP infrastructure investment criteria, and
(iii) provide information on different investment opportunities for private sector finance.
