Aligning Panamanian Infrastructure Projects With Climate Change Goals
Development of a Methodology to Incorporate Panama’s National Determined Contributions (NDCs) into Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Projects.
This project developed a methodology to link Panama's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the financing of low-carbon, and climate-resilient infrastructure projects(LCR) structured as Public Private Partnerships. The main stakeholders included the government of Panama, represented by its National Secretariat of Public Private Associations (SNAPP).
This technical assistance had three main goals:
(i) conduct a literature review and gap analysis to inform the development of climate-resilient PPP infrastructure investment criteria,
(ii) develop climate-resilient PPP infrastructure investment criteria, and
(iii) provide information on different investment opportunities for private sector finance.
