Executive training on gender-responsive infrastructure for public and private representatives
This four-hour executive training aimed to raise awareness of the importance of mainstreaming gender in infrastructure projects. It also aimed to assist stakeholders in planning and developing present and future infrastructure by identifying specific actions to achieve a scenario where gender-neutral infrastructure is a reality.
The executive training covered general gender concepts and emphasized the importance of mainstreaming gender in infrastructure projects. Participants actively identified the main barriers to gender integration and learned how to incorporate a gender perspective into the different stages of the infrastructure cycle. To facilitate this process, various tools and resources to set up a gender integration strategy were introduced.Â
Divided into two different groups and days, over 60 representatives in Peru from the public and private sectors attended this executive training session on gender-responsive infrastructure. This session is embedded in the technical assistance provided to TNC to deliver executive training for representatives in Peru from the public and private sectors, where other topics such as sustainable infrastructure, resilient infrastructure, and climate change were addressed.
