Assessing PNIC and PNISC: Validation workshops with public and private representatives in Peru
In joint collaboration with colleagues from Universidad del Pacífico, Sinfranova’s team organized and facilitated two in-person workshops in Lima, Perú. These workshops are part of the technical assistance provided to the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finances to evaluate the country's infrastructure projects in previous infrastructure plans (PNIC and PNISC). The overarching goals of the workshops include sharing and validating with representatives from public and private institutions the main problems that prevent projects prioritized in Peru’s previous National Infrastructure Plans (PNIC 2019 and PNISC 2022) from progressing, and co-creating recommendations to be considered in the upcoming National Infrastructure Plan 2025-2030.

The first day brought together representatives from public institutions, such as the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), the Ministry of Health (MINSA), the Ministry of Transportation (MTC), the Ministry of Agriculture (MIDAGRI), the Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation, and CEPLAN, among many others.

The second day convened practitioners from the private sector and academia, including representatives from Ernst & Young, AFIN, the Colegio de Ingenieros de Perú, and Sociedad Nacional de Minería, to name a few.

The information gathered through the workshops was key in formulating the recommendations that will guide future planning efforts in Peru.
