Sinfranova is an Envision Qualified Company

  • By becoming an Envision Qualified Member, Sinfranova joined the 250 private sector companies that are ISI members

  • The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) & Sinfranova's team collaboration dates back to 2012. Sinfranova is now contributing to expanding the use of Envision to the Spanish-speaking community

We are proud to announce Sinfranova's addition to the growing group of companies committed to designing and delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions by becoming an Envision Qualified Company. Developed and managed by The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), Envision is a sustainability framework and rating system that supports better project planning, design, and delivery. To do so, Envision provides guidance to the public and private sectors to strengthen their infrastructure projects and policy frameworks by ensuring that sustainability is incorporated into the lifecycle of projects. As such, the Envision framework supports equitable and resilient approaches to sustainable and civil infrastructure.

By becoming an Envision Qualified Member, Sinfranova joined the 250 private sector companies that are ISI members. This large group of companies are all in pursuit of the design and delivery of infrastructure that is both sustainable and resilient. Our shared goals represent a unique opportunity to cooperate and collaborate towards achieving sustainability, resiliency, and equity in infrastructure.

Common goals and shared values

Sinfranova's core values reflect those of ISI: improving sustainability performance and resiliency of infrastructure. At Sinfranova, our mission is to help governments, private businesses, and international institutions to deliver more sustainable and resilient solutions for their infrastructure projects. We continue to do so, by providing capacity building and sustainability consulting in alignment with our firm commitment to protecting the environment and its population.

As part of our capacity-building efforts, members of Sinfranova have coordinated numerous sustainability credentialing workshops (in Spanish and English) enabling the certification of more than 100 Envision sustainability professionals (ENV-SP). “Envision is a sustainable infrastructure tool that members of Sinfranova have been using for a decade now. Becoming an Envision Qualified Company is the next step in embracing the implementation of Envision in the US and internationally” remarked Cristina Contreras, Sinfranova’s CEO, and Founder.

A long-term collaboration

The collaboration between the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure and the Sinfranova team dates back to 2012 when members of Sinfranova participated in the development and implementation of the first version of the Envision rating system. The joint effort continues to this day as we are closely working with ISI and other organizations to open up Envision and its certification process to Latin America and other Spanish-speaking countries around the world. Specifically, Sinfranova led the Spanish translation and technical review of both Envision’s V3 Guidance Manual and the ENV SP exam. We at Sinfranova believe that Envision represents a great contribution to the achievement of a more sustainable and resilient world, and as such, we are eager to contribute to the expansion of the use of Envision to the Spanish-speaking community and beyond.
