More than 20 experts from the civil engineering field attended this in-person training conducted in Spanish
On May 24th, Guanajuato (Mexico) hosted the training “Introduction Course to the ENVISION Evaluation System”. The course, jointly organized by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) and the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Ingenieros Civiles (FEMCIC), aims to introduce participants to sustainable infrastructure concepts as well as to the Envision framework and its application.
More than 20 people from the civil engineering field participated in the training. After completing this full-day course, participants have a greater command of Envision and are able to apply the framework to developing more sustainable infrastructure projects. Additionally, those attending the course are qualified to take the official exam required to become an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
Envision v3 and its certification process are now available in Spanish
In 2021, ISI announced that the Envision V3 Guidance Manual was available in Spanish. Since then, ISI has continued working on the translation of other components of Envision, such as the exam and the training material. As part of the long-term collaboration between ISI and Sinfranova, Sinfranova was commissioned to lead the translation and technical review of all these Envision components. At Sinfranova, we are proud of our contribution to expanding the Envision rating system to Spanish-speaking countries worldwide.
Upcoming Envision courses in Spanish
Every Wednesday of June -starting on June 7th- the Spanish Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Madrid will offer the “Professional Certification Course in Sustainable Infrastructure” training. The online course is designed to strengthen the knowledge that participants have on how Envision can help to identify and apply best practices in sustainability. The course, which ISI endorses, will be taught in Spanish by ISI-approved trainers from the Sinfranova team.
